Can you make snow anywhere?
No, we are limited to where our equipment can access. It requires a lot of heavy equipment to create snow. All the snow is trucked in as cube ice in bags then crushed into snow in the blower. We do not take this equipment off road. The ice is launched from the snow blower through a large hose about 20-35 ft to the desired area.
How long does setup take?
We can crush about 20,000 lbs of ice per hour with the industrial snow blower we run. If you want the snow slide trailer setup, that usually takes about an hour before we can begin to start crushing ice. Whenever possible, we like to setup the snow slide the day before. The slide will be picked up the day after the event after the snow has melted away.
How long does it last?
With so many variables, it is impossible to predict how long the ice will last. The temperature, humidity, shade, number of children and size of childern all effect how long before the ice becomes slushy. Most events will have ice left on the ground the following morning. Snow will last longer with a slide vs. a play area, since the ice is packed down and maintains itself better. Average use time can range from 2-5 hours.
Donations?
As much as we would like to help everyone in the community as much as possible, its just not feasible. We keep our prices as low as possible in order to be fair to every church, school, non-profit, and other customers. We are flexible and can make something happen on just about any budget.
How do I make a reservation?
Initially you need to contact Mireles Party Ice to make sure the date and time requested is available. We will then email you a draft of our service agreement with your event information pre-filled - which will need to be signed, scanned and returned via email or mailed USPS. A 30% deposit ($200 minimum) will be due along with the service agreement, which can be paid by emailing a credit card authorization form, or you can mail us a check via USPS. Once this is received and processed, the agreement signed by both parties and an invoice showing the deposit has been paid will be emailed back to you, confirming your reservation. Dates cannot be held or confirmed until you receive this confirmation.
